PetFolio Health ("we," "us," or "our") operates the PetFolioHealth platform, accessible at petfoliohealth.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our service.
By using PetFolioHealth, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We do not store passwords in plain text.
Pet Health Records: We store information you enter about your pets, including names, breeds, medical history, vaccinations, medications, vet visits, allergies, procedures, behavioral notes, dietary information, and uploaded documents.
Billing Information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We store a Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We do not store full credit card numbers or payment card data on our servers.
Document Uploads: If you upload documents (lab results, vaccination records, etc.), these are stored securely on our servers tied to your account.
Reminder & Notification Data: If you set reminders, we store the relevant dates and notification preferences to send you alerts.
Usage Data: We may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This is used for security and service improvement, not sold to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the PetFolioHealth service
- To process subscriptions and manage your billing account
- To send account-related emails (password resets, billing receipts, reminders you configure)
- To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
- To respond to support requests
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or pet data to third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Service Providers
We use trusted third-party providers to operate the service:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend / SendGrid / Gmail SMTP — transactional email delivery
- Supabase and cloud hosting infrastructure - authentication, database, file storage, and application hosting
- Anthropic - scanning sends document contents to an external AI service to propose record fields. You review them before adding records. Your original upload remains in the document library.
Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and data processing agreements with us where required.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data and pet records for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business need (e.g., billing records for tax compliance).
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security practices including password hashing, HTTPS encryption in transit, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.

PetFolioHealth uses essential session cookies to keep you logged in. We may use analytics tools in the future. See our Cookie Policy for details.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights including:
- Access to your personal data
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your account and associated data
- Data portability (export of your records)

9. International Users
PetFolioHealth is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the service, you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
